Adshel provide advertising at bus shelters across Canberra's bus network. They have 150+ sites and cover all major town centres. I was originally, upon confirmation, going to get two weeks to shoot all the bus shelters in Canberra which feature Adshel advertising. That didn't end up being the case.
I was asked to shoot all the new digital advertising around Westfield Belconnen and Woden here in Canberra. We call these sort of shots "Site Cards" and their purpose is to show the position and exposure of potential advertising.
Usually a new fit-out is shot as soon as it is completed and before a client moves in. Sometimes though, that can't happen due to circumstances that are out of the clients control. When that happens, you often just have to hope that when your client moves in, they don't have too much stuff or they are super clean.
Earlier in the year I got asked to shoot the refurbished Taylor Primary School in Kambah, Canberra. It was a great project and had a lot of companies and contractors on site to complete the work.
Almost 6 months after the original shoot I had the privilege to be asked to go back again and shoot the lighting for GLS Electrical. GLS fitted all the lighting in the school, including the emergency lighting, car-park and the spotlights for the stage lighting in the main hall.
One of my regular commercial photography clients Rork Projects work on office fit-outs and refurbishments both large and small. Sometimes what looks relatively simple can be deceiving.
This is the old Hewlett Packard building on Barry Drive in Canberra City. This office was full of built-in servers and computer stations, desks and room divisions. It has now been totally remodelled by Rork Projects back into usable office space.
